The hollow sucker rod is manufactured in accordance with China national standard: SY/T5550-1998 Hollow Sucker Rod (see below table). The rod is used (1) to inject thermal media (e.g. hot oil. water and chemicals) to reduce its viscosity and remove the paraffin, (2) to insert the cable and run down through the hole of the hollow sucker rod to enable the cable and the rod body to built up an electric circuit and (3) to heat the crude oil above and bellow the pump during the whole process to reduce the oil viscosity and remove the paraffin of the crude.
